Melissa George released from the hospital after alleged attack by boyfriend

Actress Melissa George was reportedly hospitalized at Cochin Hospital in Paris after allegedly being assaulted by her longtime boyfriend.

The Australian actress reportedly suffered a swollen face, body pain, nausea and dizziness. She accused her partner of five years and father of her children, Jean-David Blanc, of causing the injuries.

George called the police from her home on Wednesday night and was hospitalized for more than 24 hours. The 40-year-old actress was spotted leaving the hospital "in tears and distress," according to an Australian news site. She was also spotted returning to a Paris police station on Friday.

George reportedly told police that Blanc struck her with "violent blows" during a moment of severe "stress." There have been no prior reports of domestic violence incidents with the pair.

Blanc reportedly went to a police station to be interviewed under caution by detectives before being remanded in custody to appear at the Palais de Justice. The 48-year-old was expected to appear in front of a court in Paris to be questioned by prosecutors over the alleged domestic abuse.

The Parquet de Police declined to comment about the case, saying, "For now it is a domestic affair and we will not be communicating anything."

George and Blanc have two young sons together, Räphael, 2, and Solal, 10 months. George was previously married to Chilean film director Caludio Dabed. The ex-couple got divorced in 2011.

You probably recognize George from her roles on Grey's Anatomy's, Alias, and most recently, NBC's Heartbeat. She even received a Golden Globe nomination for her role in In Treatment in 2009.

Blanc is a businessman, writer and film producer who is known for founding the French movie website AlloCiné. The pair reportedly met a British film awards after-party in 2011 and started dating in 2012.

Kanye West has angered everyone on Twitter - but this time it's different

Kanye West has been causing controversy on Twitter again, and while you'd usually brush that off as old news, the reason for the latest backlash is interesting.

More: Kanye West issues a semi-apology for his controversial Twitter rants

Over the weekend, West took to Twitter to share the casting call for his Yeezy Season 4 fashion show - and judging by the reactions to it, it's not winning him any friends.

The rapper has come under fire for what many believe to be an inappropriate casting call. It reads, "Multiracial women only … No makeup please come as you are."

People have been quick to share their views on what the term "multiracial" implies, and how West is going to verify it.

West has yet to respond to the controversy, but we doubt he minds the publicity it's generating as his line is set to debut in just two days' time on Sept. 7 at the opening of New York Fashion Week. And according to Daily Mail, despite the backlash, there were still a lot of people who went to the audition, as lines were seen around the block from the studio in Manhattan.

Nick and Vanessa Lachey are expecting baby No. 3

They appear to have it all: a solid, loving marriage (in Hollywood, no less), successful careers, two beautiful children and, now, as the cherry on top of the sundae, Nick and Vanessa Lachey are expecting their third child!

The couple, who have been together for 10 years, announced their happy news with one of the sweetest Instagram photos imaginable. It shows the family of four, plus their cute pooch Wookie, in front of their brand-new house (unopened boxes and all) and a little play on the word "crib" - as in, they are now in need of TWO new cribs.

Those two cuties in the photo are 3-year-old Camden John and 1-year-old Brooklyn Elisabeth. If you're doing the math, spring 2017 for the Lachey family will mean two kiddies under three in need of diapers and three children who are home most of the time. Needless to say, Vanessa and Nick are about to have their hands full.

According to Vanessa, neither she nor Nick were exactly opposed to the idea of growing their family into a party of five. In an interview with E! News last year, she made it known that she and the former 98 Degrees star are partners all the way when it comes to parenting duties and that neither of them is the type who would rule out having more children (this is basically what all parents say before having more babies).

"Of course we talk about it... I think, ask me in a year, because right now I'm still relishing in the newness of Brooklyn and Brooklyn and Camden together," Vanessa said when asked about baby No. 3. "Nick and I are not the type of people to say, 'We're done!' or 'We're going for more!' At this point in our lives, we're super happy and content."

And then, the kicker: "If we're blessed with No. 3, it's just going to be that much more exciting. If it happens, it happens!"

More: Vanessa Lachey on husband Nick: He's a "hot daddy"

The first clue that a big change was headed the Lacheys' way came this past spring, when they put their $3.995 million mansion in Encino, California, up for sale and purchased a $4.15 million mansion with seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. OK, if we're being honest, their old home had six bedrooms and they weren't exactly itching for more space, but maybe they just felt like a new baby required a fresh new start. Or perhaps they're not ruling out having even more children after their third.

For now, they're embracing the moment and seem totally at peace with their lives and family - and we couldn't be happier for them.

When are kids too old for moms to wipe their bottoms?

When you become a mom, you have no choice but to resign yourself to the fact that you'll be cleaning little butts for many years to come. Unfortunately, there's no expiration date on this particular obligation. Some moms end up wiping those backsides for a lot longer than they anticipated.

More: School may do away with valedictorian title because it's too 'competitive'

Is there really anything wrong with this? It's become a hot topic on parenting forum Mumsnet recently, with one mother's revelation ruffling more than a few feathers. User Javabeansaintgeorge admitted: "I wipe all my kids, oldest is 12 and is c**p at the best of times. It would be cruelty leaving him dirty when he has an upset stomach."

This ramped the debate up another notch, that's for sure. Is 12 too old to get your butt wiped by your mom? If not, at what age should it stop?

We can debate all we want, but we know, deep down, the only answer: there is no answer. At least, not one that comes with digits. Because all kids are different and some of them simply don't want to wipe their own butts for a long time. Maybe they're lazy. Maybe they just can't do it properly. Or maybe Mom is too soft. Whatever. Surely, so long as someone is wiping the butt, it's all good - no?

More: School gives out pervert test, can't figure out why parents are mad

If you're worried about your child's toilet habits (or lack thereof), first of all, don't panic. An inability or lack of desire to wipe is unlikely to continue into adulthood. But the ball is in your court. However old your child is, you can follow some simple steps to help them become a master butt-wiper in no time. According to child development and behavioral specialist Betsy Brown Braun, the first big hurdle to overcome is your own disgust at your kid's inadequate wiping technique. Get used to skid marks and sore bottoms; that's what baths, washing machines and diaper rash creams are for.

When it comes to actual wiping practice, you might want to do a first wipe for your kid, then encourage them to do a second, imitating your technique. Braun suggests children get off the toilet and squat down to spread their butt cheeks or even do a spot check in a full-length mirror. Yeah, it's not particularly pleasant, but it's great advice and after a few days of this, they're sure to have improved their wiping action.

Don't stress if you're still wiping your child's bottom when they're 6, 8, 10 or 12. But do them - and yourself - a favor and take the time to teach them how to do it themselves. We can guarantee it's one aspect of parenting you'll never miss.

Narcos still isn't telling us everything there is to know about Pablo Escobar

Narcos is without a doubt one of Netflix's best original series. When I first started my binge-watch, I wasn't completely certain I'd be able to get through it in just one weekend, given the amount of subtitles I had to read. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind subtitles, but being an editor, I literally read for my job, so when I have free time, I like to zone out and watch shows that don't take too much brainpower (if that makes me sound vapid or unintelligent, so be it). But right from the start, Narcos sucked me in, and I've been obsessed with learning about the kingpin Pablo Escobar ever since.

While Netflix does a great job documenting the war on drugs in the 1970s and '80s, there are some details about Escobar's life that have been left out. Aside from being the "King of Coke," supplying 80 percent of the cocaine used in the U.S. and having killed an estimated 4,000 people during his reign, there are some other - dare I say - "fun" facts worth arming yourself with. You know... in case you ever need them for trivia night or something. You can thank me later.

Escobar not only built extravagant houses, but he had his own zoo

As we've seen in Narcos, all of Escobar's homes were built in the finest taste, but he didn't want just nice things - the man freakin' wanted everything. His estate in Puerto Triunfo had a pool (meh, that's not that impressive), a bullring (OK, that's unique) and - get this - a zoo filled with hippos, giraffes and elephants. Supposedly hippos still roam the property today, which, if you think about it, is quite fitting to carry on Escobar's legacy. Hippos are some of the most violent animals in the world, and Escobar was known to have a few violent days himself...

He actually was a very giving man when he wanted to be

Narcos does a good job of showing Escobar's humanity. Now, I'm not saying he was a good guy - he wasn't - but every bad guy thinks his or her intentions are good, and Escobar really did love Colombia and its people (as long as they weren't police officers, journalists or government officials).

Narcos has shown him giving money to the poor, but Escobar did a lot more than that. He gave money to churches and hospitals, established food programs and built parks and fúttbol stadiums. All this would have improved the quality of life for his fellow Colombians had the drug war not been just that - a war - with tons of bloodshed, mind you. Oh, and then there's also the fact that everything he did was done with drug money. That kind of undermines all the "good" Escobar tried to do.

He wasn't always in the drug business, but he was always in the crime business

Before Escobar became the kingpin we all know today, he was a salesman of sorts. As a teen, Escobar stole tombstones and sold them to smugglers; he was known for stealing cars too. Other reports claim he was a gunman and marijuana dealer.

Later in the '70s, Escobar continued his work as a thief and became a bodyguard. He allegedly kidnapped and ransomed a Medellín executive for $100,000, but hey, he would say he did it in the pursuit of fulfilling his dream. Escobar always said he wanted to be a millionaire by the time he was 22 years old. The dream was OK, it was just the means in which he went about achieving it that obviously weren't.

Escobar married his wife when she was only 15 years old

I'm not entirely sure how Escobar originally met his wife, Maria Victoria Henao Vellejo, but he married her in 1976 when she was only 15 years old; Escobar was 27. I'm assuming she knew of his criminal activity, since it seems it was a very prominent part of his past, but she probably had no idea the lengths he would go to later in their lives to build his drug-fueled empire.

He was a very devoted family man

Family was everything to Escobar. Narcos has some sweet scenes between Escobar and his children, but they don't delve too deeply into the sacrifices he made for them (notice the slightest hint of sarcasm there) - aside from running a cocaine empire to give them all that life had to offer, of course.

Once, when the Escobar family was in hiding, his daughter Manuela got sick. Escobar allegedly burned $2 million to keep her warm. Honestly, I think any parent would give up all the money in the world to protect their children, but you can't deny, for a man who really cared about his money, that was a big chunk of change. Meh, he probably had another couple mil buried just a couple of steps away.

He treated his cocaine - and his money - right

Escobar went to extreme lengths to ensure the safety of his cocaine and his money. Supposedly he would smuggle cocaine in airplane tires (now that's getting creative). Pilots who transported the drugs would make as much as $500,000 per day.

When the cash flow really started rolling in, Escobar needed an easier way to transport it all, so he purchased a Learjet. Yes, he bought a Learjet with his money just for his money. Now baby, that's love.

Escobar also knew his money needed to be kept together when it wasn't being moved from place to place, so he dropped $2,500 each month on rubber bands to ensure no bill was left behind.

He just had so much shit

In the late 1980s, Escobar's assets were seized by Colombian authorities. Narcos shows us that, sure, Escobar had a lot of stuff, but they don't quite make it clear that "a lot of stuff" included 142 planes, 20 helicopters, 32 yachts and 141 homes and offices. Oh, and I forgot to mention his two submarines. That's just so much shit - there's no other way to put it.

He believed in The Power of Positive Thinking

It's odd to think that such a violent, dangerous man actually had a reflective, spiritual side, but he did. I don't quite understand how the two alter egos didn't collide more often and seriously mess with his conscience, but supposedly Escobar was a fan of The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale, as are many of us. Authorities found a Spanish translation of the book in his home. I personally don't put positive thinking and drug trafficking in the same category, but Escobar apparently found a very strong link between the two.
