Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar Fox interview may disappoint viewers

The interview, which will be aired on The Kelly File on Wednesday, June 3 at 9/8c is expected to be a tough but fair interview, allowing the Duggar parents to tell their side of the story.

The Duggars have received a lot of backlash from the media and the general public since the news that Josh molested five underage girls when he was a teenager resurfaced. So, Kelly will no doubt have a lot of pressing questions for the family during the one-hour special.

Speaking of her plans for the interview, Kelly revealed that she wants America to hear the family's side of the story.

"I'll take that reputation as a tough but fair journalist," Kelly said on her show The Kelly File on Monday. "However, this isn't going to be a cross-examination of a family. It's going to be an interview. I want to hear their story. And I think America wants to hear their story now."

She also revealed that she would ask the Duggar parents why they didn't do more about contacting the authorities when they first discovered Josh's alleged abuse, and why they signed up for a reality TV show knowing that they had a dark secret in their past.

"Nothing is off-limits," she continued. But there is some territory that Kelly doesn't want to cross into.

"I don't plan on getting into the specific details about what was done," she explained, "because my understanding is the victims don't want to discuss that either."
