The wingsuit flyer from Seattle stars in video released by GoPro on Sunday, and he can be seen flying above -- and sometimes perilously close to -- the mountains near Walenstadt, Switzerland.
In the video, Mikesell soars past jagged cliffs and a pastoral farmhouse, then almost grazes a stand of trees before ultimately zooming down a long trench and pulling his parachute.
Despite his terrifying choice of sport, Mikesell previously said his greatest fear is actually "everyone finding out that I have a major stuttering problem."
He told TomorroWoman he felt like the only person who had a stuttering problem when he was growing up.
"The first time I ran into a fellow stutterer was when I was 22 years old," he said. "I really want people to know that they aren’t alone. I want to meet and help as many people as I can who might be going through a rough time, or even just need a little positive nudge. I hope I can pay it forward and motivate or inspire as many people as I can."
The adrenaline-seeker added that he completed over a thousand jumps before venturing into more technical flights like the one featured in this video, so, yeah, don't try this at home.
